Spider is a 10 year old dark bay thoroughbred gelding that Emma bought in 2005. At that time he had just come to the end of his eventing career. His ability in the dressage arena with his fabulous walk made him the ideal partner for Emma. As a grade 1 rider all her tests are in walk, therefore it was vital that the horse had a ‘nine’ walk.
As Emma has moved on and is now working with her new horse Ed, she has had to let Spider, or Slightly Welton as he should more properly be called, go. The good news is that she has sold Spider locally and as he is still stabled at Karen's yard, Emma can still ride him.
